Call for Papers

We are delighted and excited to announce the expected launch of the open access On-line Journal of the Forensic Institute.

Scope

The scope of the On-Line Journal is to include any topic that contributes to knowledge and skills related to the use of science and technology in the law, law enforcement, and crime prevention; particularly its use as evidence in the trial process, evidence evaluation, standards of practice, and in forming legislation or policy.

  • To provide a rapid peer-reviewed publication route for active researchers
  • To encourage students in the field to publish abstracts and/or full papers of their research projects, and to provide an on-line discussion page featuring Q&As (e.g. on experimental techniques, statistical analysis): see the FORREST and FIRN pages
