Figures Figures should be presented in the order in which they are mentioned in the text. Wherever possible, figures should be submitted in their desired final size, to fit the width of a single column of text, i.e. 84 mm wide, or where it is necessary they should be 176 mm in maximum width. The final size of the printed figure cannot exceed 250 × 200 mm including legends Figure legends Figure legends should be listed one after the other, as part of the text document, separate from the figure files. Please do not write a legend below each figure. Each figure legend should begin with a brief title for the whole figure and continue with a short description of each panel and the symbols used. For contributions with methods sections, legends should not contain any details of methods, or exceed 100 words (fewer than 500 words in total for the whole paper). In contributions without methods sections, legends should be fewer than 300 words. All error bars must be defined in the figure legend.The audience for the Journal is wide. Authors may consider the inclusion of supplementary material, which will not be part of the main article, but provide background information for non-specialists to aid understanding of the article. This material can be discussed with the Editor if required.How to submit Authors should submit their articles in electronic form as an e-mail attachment. This is also the address for correspondence with the Editor or Editorial Board. Articles are accepted for review with the understanding that all authors approve of the submission, and that they have read and accepted our Peer Review and Copyright Polices. For original research papers, authors are requested to provide the names and contact details of three individuals who could expertly review the paper, and who are not from the same institutions as the authors. The Editors, reserve the right to use these or other reviewers. You will receive confirmation of your submission and further progress of your article via e-mail.PDF proofs will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author. To avoid delay in publication, only necessary changes should be made, and corrections should be returned promptly.
