In addition to our main conference programme, we organise some meetings and conferences under the auspices of the Forensic Institute Research Network (FIRN).
(A) The E-Symposia The E-Symposia are a series of online web conferences that bring leading figures in science, medicine and law to your desktop. The E-Symposia are organised in conjunction with our technology partner, e-symposium ltd. The first such event was the Human Identification (HUMID) e-symposium which had over a thousand delegates.
(B) The Forensic Research and Teaching Conference (FORREST) FORREST is an international conference held in the UK, specifically designed to bring together academics, teachers, and practitioners to learn, in presentations and workshops, of the latest developments in forensic research and teaching. Details of the FORREST 2008 conference are now available. There are also Regional Student Conferences associated with FIRN.
If you have an idea for a meeting or conference that will support FIRN’s aim, “To improve the quality and quantity of forensic science research and teaching”, do let us know.
