Current Opportunities at The Forensic Institute

Scientists

We are always on the lookout for exceptional people to join our Glasgow-based team involved in casework consultancy and education. An intelligent, questioning attitude, supplemented with a deep and broad understanding of science and a friendly, flexible approach, are the key skills required. An ability to travel, sometimes at short notice, is expected.

The Forensic Institute is a highly specialised scientific environment providing an interesting, varied, and intellectually challenging professional setting. Salaries are negotiable, competitive, and include bonus and development opportunities. The Institute is an open and cooperative working environment where everyone is expected to contribute positively to our aims.

Suitable candidates will have a very good honours degree in science, postgraduate experience, and probably a postgraduate qualification (MSc or PhD).

Consultants

We have an extensive network of consultants in a wide variety of disciplines. If you have experience of consultancy in a legal environment then we would be interested in hearing from you. Our consultants agree to a Code of Practice which includes acceptance of peer review of reports.

Special Notice

For all positions, please send your CV with a covering letter to us (contact details here) or email it to deborahd@theforensicinstitute.com.

We apologise that no acknowledgements are sent.
